Day 1

Day 1 photo

Arrival, transfer to the mountains, and hotel check-in

 Your journey begins at Mineralnye Vody Airport, where your guide will meet you. From there, you’ll travel to the village of Terskol, nestled at the base of the stunning Baksan Valley.
 After settling into a comfortable hotel, you’ll join the team for a welcome dinner. In the evening, your guide will provide a detailed briefing on the programme, ensuring youre fully prepared for the adventure ahead.


Day 2

Acclimatisation hike

 Acclimatisation starts with a choice of two hikes:
 1. To the RAS Observatory (3010 m): This observatory, located on "Terskol Peak," is a renowned astronomical site. The 7-hour round-trip hike also features a visit to the stunning Maiden’s Braids waterfall.
 2. To Mount Cheget (3080 m): This route takes you through picturesque alpine meadows, leading to the iconic Café Ai, where you can enjoy a cup of sea buckthorn tea and freshly made pasties.
 After the hike, we’ll inspect your gear to ensure you’re properly equipped for the climb. If anything is missing, your guide will assist you in renting the necessary items. Overnight in Terskol.


Day 3

Ascent to the mountain lodge

 The day begins with a cable car ride from Azau Station to the "Old Horizon" Station. Here, you’ll check into the high-altitude lodge "Chiper-Azau" at 3000 metres.
 Once settled, you’ll head out for an acclimatisation hike to the "Mir" Station (3500 m) or the Gara-Bashi Station (3847 m). This short trek prepares you for higher altitudes, with the day concluding at the lodge, surrounded by breathtaking views.


Day 4

Acclimatisation hike to the Pastukhov Rocks

 Take an early cable car to the "Heart of Elbrus" lodge (3820 m), from where you’ll embark on an acclimatisation hike to the Pastukhov Rocks (4600–4800 m).
 Named after Andrey Pastukhov, one of the earliest climbers of Elbrus, this area offers stunning views of the Western and Eastern summits. After the hike, return to the lodge for dinner and rest.


Day 5

Snow and ice skills training

 This day focuses on essential mountaineering skills to prepare you for the summit. Training on a snow and ice slope includes:
 ✱ Walking in crampons
 ✱ Rope techniques and knot tying
 ✱ Using an ice axe for self-arrest and safe movement
 ✱ Navigating snow and ice terrain
 This practical session ensures that every participant is confident and capable of handling the conditions on Elbrus. After training, you’ll return to the lodge to relax and prepare for summit day.


Day 6

Summit Day: Mount Elbrus

 The highlight of the expedition! An early start takes you on a 6-7 hour climb to the summit of Mount Elbrus, the highest point in Europe. From 5642 metres, you’ll witness awe-inspiring views of the Caucasus Mountains and experience the true scale and beauty of this iconic peak.
 The descent brings you back to Terskol, where you’ll enjoy a well-deserved shower and celebrate your achievement with a festive dinner.


Day 7

Reserve day

 This day is reserved for adverse weather conditions. If the weather has been favourable, use this time to rest, explore the surroundings, or take part in light activities.

Transfer to aiport

 Over breakfast, we’ll reflect on the adventure and share stories with each other. A transfer will then take you to Mineralnye Vody Airport, where you’ll begin your journey home, carrying unforgettable memories and the pride of reaching Europe’s highest peak.
