 This tour offers a chance to spend 16 unforgettable days in Argentina, ascending to the highest peak in South America, Aconcagua, one of the stunning Seven Summits in the Andes.
 During this time, we will thoroughly prepare for the ascent, undergo acclimatization, reach the summit, and safely descend back to the base camp. Along the way, we will experience breathtaking sunrises, face the rugged winds, build endurance, and make new friends.

Day 1

Day 1 photo

Start and Preparation

 Arrival in Mendoza, Argentina’s wine capital. Your guide will meet you and take you to the hotel through the green streets of the resort town.
 We will arrange climbing permits and check gear. If needed, you can rent any equipment with the help of your guide. The day concludes with a welcome dinner and a briefing on the ascent program.


Day 2

Transfer to Penitentes

 Transfer to the Penitentes ski resort (2,725m) at the foot of the Cordon del Plata range. Enjoy a scenic two-hour drive and settle into a cozy mountain hotel. Meet the mules that will carry your gear, distribute the load, and prepare for the next day’s trek.

Trek to Confluencia

 Leave Penitentes and head to Aconcagua National Park. After checking the permits, we will proceed to the first camping spot — Confluencia base camp (3300 m).


Day 4

Acclimatization hike

 Acclimatization hike to Plaza Francia (4,000m). The route takes about 6-7 hours and rewards you with a fantastic view of the southern wall of Aconcagua. In the evening, we return to Confluencia camp for dinner and an overnight stay in tents.


Day 5

Trek to Plaza de Mulas

 One of the longest treks — to Plaza de Mulas base camp (4400 m). The trek takes 7-8 hours, allowing you to enjoy the stunning views of the Andes. Spend the night in a tent camp with three meals a day provided by a high-altitude chef.


Day 6

Acclimatization and preparation

 A day for acclimatization and recovery around Plaza de Mulas. Prepare the gear for the porters to carry. Overnight in the base camp tents.


Day 7

Day 7 photo

Ascend to Canada

 Ascend to Camp Canada (4,950m). The trek takes about 5 hours along a winding path. Spend the night in high-altitude tents.


Day 8

Day 8 photo

Ascend to Nido de Condores

 Ascend to Nido de Condores camp (5590 m) — the "Nest of Condors." The route is relatively easy, with a 500-meter elevation gain. Set up camp and spend the night under the constant sound of the wind.


Day 9

Descend to the BC

 Descend to Plaza de Mulas base camp to rest, shower, charge our devices, and check the weather forecast.


Day 10

Recovery day

 Another day at Plaza de Mulas for recovery and adaptation. Despite being technically straightforward, the ascent to Aconcagua demands excellent physical condition due to the altitude and natural conditions.


Day 11

Ascend to Nido de Condores

 From this day onwards, we move upwards. Ascend again to the high camp Nido de Condores, where the tents are already set up. Our goal is to get a good night’s sleep and prepare for the climb to 6000 meters.

Ascend to Plaza Colera

 The day before the summit push. Move to the final assault camp — Plaza Colera (6000 m) or take an acclimatization hike from Nido de Condores.


Day 13

Summit day

 The day you have been training for — summit day!
 Early in the morning, before sunrise, set off for the Aconcagua summit (6962 m). The ascent involves a rocky and scree trail, and we may need to use crampons. The ascent takes about 8 hours, followed by a 3-hour descent back to camp.

Reserve day

A reserve day in case of bad weather.


Day 15

Descend to the BC

 Return to the familiar Plaza de Mulas base camp, descending 2,000m. Another test of your endurance.


Day 16

Day 16 photo

Return hike and transfer

 Hike to Puente del Inca, with mules carrying your gear. Transfer back to Mendoza, where our adventure began. Last evening in Argentina with a celebratory farewell dinner at the hotel.


Day 17

Departure

 Departure from Mendoza airport, concluding the adventure with plans to meet again on another exciting journey!
