Program
Day 1

Arrival and transfer to Zermatt
The tour begins at Geneva Airport, where your guide will meet you and accompany you to the iconic mountain town of Zermatt — one of the most famous alpine resorts in Europe.
After check-in, we’ll review gear, go over the plan, and get to know the team over a welcome dinner and evening briefing.
Day 2

Ascent and rock training
We’ll take the highest underground funicular in the world from Zermatt to the start of our first training ascent. By midday, we’ll summit the Index peak.
The afternoon will be spent on a nearby rock face, where we’ll practice rope work and rock climbing techniques essential for the Matterhorn.
Day 3

Ascent and snow & ice training
Today we’ll climb the Dent du Géant — the “Giant’s Tooth” — a 4,013-meter peak located between the Mont Blanc and Grandes Jorasses massifs. It’s considered one of the most beautiful peaks in the Alps.
This ascent will combine acclimatization with snow and ice training. Then we’ll spend the night at the Torino mountain hut at 3,371 meters.
Day 4

Acclimatization climb
Early start and a traverse of Aiguille d’Entrèves (3,600 m), part of the Mont Blanc massif on the French–Italian border.
This moderate route is perfect for practicing movement on sharp ridgelines — an essential skill for the Matterhorn. After the traverse, we descend to the valley and return to our hotel in Zermatt.
Day 5

Ascent to Hörnli Hut
This day brings us closer to the main goal. We’ll take the lift back into the high mountains and hike to the historic Hörnli Hut.
Perched directly on the Hörnli Ridge of the Matterhorn, this legendary hut has welcomed climbers from around the world for nearly 150 years. From here, the mountain feels within arm’s reach.
Day 6

Summit Day: Matterhorn Ascent
Today we’ll climb the Matterhorn. Expect exposed rock, fixed ropes, short snow sections, and incredible ridge work. At the summit, you’ll stand on one of the most iconic peaks in the world — right on the border of Switzerland and Italy.
We’ll soak in the views and the moment, then begin the long descent. That evening, we’ll return to Zermatt for a celebratory farewell dinner.
Day 7

Reserve day
An extra day for bad weather, or extra time for training and acclimatization if needed.
Day 8

Departure
Transfer to Geneva Airport and flight home.
